Online Course: Foundations of World Patent Law

The Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC) is pleased to partner with the American Chemical Society to offer a 4 hour course on World Patent Law.

No prior knowledge of intellectual property is required.

Summary: The seminar will provide an introduction to international patent framework, types of patents, requirements for patentability, managing patent portfolios, preparing and prosecuting patents internationally.

Key Topics:  Introduction to patents and international patent framework; types of patents; patentability requirements, managing patent portfolios; preparing and filing an international patent application; international patent prosecution.

Cost: $595 for CSC and ACS members; $795 for non members

**Note: In order to receive the member registration rate, CSC members should select the "ACS member" option when registering for the course and enter their CSC membership number.**

Laboratory Safety Course

The Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) is proud to partner with the Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI) to offer a two-day laboratory safety course to members. This course provides an in-depth look at the fundamentals of lab safety and effective lab safety programs.  You will learn to identify and manage common laboratory hazards; many of which you may never have considered.
